Briefly tell us about your business and what makes it different. Details could include how you got started, what makes your business stand out, or how difference has helped your business and others.

I've always made party decorations, for myself as well as for others & for both small or large events. I preferred making my own as opposed to retail stores, as it seemed I could never find just the right thing for whatever theme or style I had in mind. It's always pleased me to see my work on display at these events along with the great feedback I would receive. Often, people would suggest to me "you should start a business", never really thinking that one day I would actually be making my living selling my creations. This is a passion for me and because of my love of vintage, I try to incorporate vintage materials recycled from my vintage shop, into my work, whenever possible. This also lends to my eco friendly outlook, recycling materials, where I am able to do so. Doing what I love as a career, working from home, is a dream come true and I am very happy to share my talents with my customers. Custom order requests are one of my specialties and requests are always welcome! Not sure exactly what you want? Through conversation, together, we will come up with a beautifully designed product, made especially for you!

How would you use the Etsy Small Business Contest money to scale your business in a big way this year?:

I'd purchase more material, bolts of fabric rather than yardage. Also better equipment for photo taking, studio lights & better camera. I would like to get into silkscreening so I can design & make my own fabrics and would love to get a larger cutter with better printing capabilities. Lastly, get a set up to do shows, display equipment, storage and a new tent for outdoor shows.
