I love cooking for a crowd, so the holidays are perfect for me, we used to have about 16 people over for Thanksgiving dinners, sadly we have lost a lot of family members but the memories always bring a warm feeling to my heart! Share your Thanksgiving memories here as well!!

IT IS A SAD DAY TODAY AS I AM MOURNING THE LOSS OF MICHAEL JACKSON ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD. I LOVED HIS MUSIC, HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY.

REGARDLESS WHAT YOU BELIEVE ABOUT HIM, HE WAS TRULY A REMARKABLE HUMAN BEING. NOT ONLY A WONDERFUL MUSICIAN WITH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE BUT ALSO A MAN WHO SUPPORTED MANY CAUSES, THIS CANNOT BE DENIED!

HIS CONTRIBUTIONS, CREATING AWARENESS AND GETTING OTHERS INVOLVED IN THOSE IMPORTANT ISSUES INCLUDING: HUMAN RIGHTS, AIDS, ANIMAL RIGHTS, STARVATION AND SO MUCH MORE, MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. HE WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE PHENOMINAL.

HIS LYRICS TOUCHED MY HEART, HIS MUSIC MY SOUL. BEING CLOSE TO HIS AGE, I GREW UP LISTENING TO HIM, HIS MUSIC WAS PART OF MY LIFE AS MANY OTHERS.

I AM DEEPLY SORRY FOR HIS FAMILY IN THEIR LOSS. I DO HOPE HE RESTS IN PEACE, AS I DON'T BELEIVE HE EVER HAD THE CHANCE TO DO SO ON THIS EARTH, BEING SOMEONE WHO WAS UNDER A MICROSCOPE HIS ENTIRE LIFE AND JUDGED BY ALL.

Now, i'm not a country music fan, but the first song on my playlist is a tribute to my dad (John) who I love so very deeply. Since he DOES like country music this is for him, besides I do see a lot of my dad in me and on that note........




I couldn't post this Father's Day tribute without including my late father-in-law (John), whom I love and miss very much.. and to my husband Gary, who has been such a good and loving step-father to my girls... and this song certainly fits the two of them, he looks just like his dad when he was younger.
